Einführung
The Innovation Officer (Partnerships) position at UNHCR's Innovation Service involves building and sustaining relationships with partners in the private sector and governmental donors to support innovative solutions for refugees. The role includes identifying funding opportunities, preparing proposals and reports, and managing collaborations beyond financial components. The incumbent will lead strategic partnership development, coordination of partnership efforts, and fundraising activities for the Innovation Service. Key responsibilities also include maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing MoUs and LOUs, and managing reporting to donors and partners.
Aufgaben
- Develop meaningful program/project proposals in collaboration with Innovation Service Programme leads and RMU
- Create impactful partnership materials for partners in collaboration with the Innovation Service communication team
- Provide intelligence on potential donors/partners and contribute to strategic decision-making for partnership development
- Lead the development and updating of the Innovation Service's fundraising and partnership strategy
- Supervise team members involved in partnership and fundraising activities
- Research and identify funding opportunities, prepare fundraising materials such as proposals, presentations, and reports
- Act as the main point of contact between the Innovation Service and DER
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and funding partners
- Oversee and manage MoUs and LOUs held by the service
- Coordinate partnership development and fundraising efforts with relevant teams
- Ensure timely submission of reports to donors and partners
- Coordinate key strategic partnership events for the Innovation Service
- Manage employee engagement volunteering programs with donors/partners
- Streamline partnership and relationship management using relevant software and tools
- Lead on Partnership due diligence including ethics and risk assessments
Voraussetzungen
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fundraising and partnership development with the private sector
- Proven experience in proposal development, reporting, and communication with donors
- Strong understanding of private sector engagement and governmental donor relations
- Excellent written and spoken English, working knowledge of another UN language is an advantage
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to identify and pursue funding opportunities successfully
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners
