Einführung
The UNHCR Internship at the Partnership and Coordination Service in Geneva offers a unique opportunity to work with one of the leading UN humanitarian organizations. The intern will be involved in coordinating multilateral operational policy issues with a focus on inter-agency policy and coordination. The role provides exposure to humanitarian inter-agency policy making, refugee/displacement responses, and professional development opportunities in the field of forced displacement and refugee protection.
Aufgaben
- Collating comments and feedback on assigned documents from stakeholders
- Undertaking primary analysis and research on relevant topics
- Supporting in inter-agency coordination processes
- Assisting in the preparation and coordination of meetings
- Producing internal and external content
- Attending briefings and meetings and taking notes
- Assisting with partner engagement and trend analysis
- Undertaking other tasks as required
Voraussetzungen
- Recent graduate or current student in a graduate program
- Strong English language skills
- Interest in humanitarian cause
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in preparing briefs and presentations
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office 365)
- Research, analysis, and information management skills
- Diplomacy and discretion
- Effective time management and organizational abilities
- Interest in partnerships, coordination, and humanitarian work
- Experience with photo/video editing tools and graphics design software is a plus
