Einführung
GITEC-IGIP is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer for international development projects related to water supply, wastewater, storm-water drainage, flood management, and irrigation.
Aufgaben
- Technical and financial project responsibility
- Act as Technical Expert, (Deputy) Team leader or team member
- Fulfil technical tasks according to project specifications
- Responsible for report writing and coordination of report writing
- Coordinate with project partners, clients, development banks and local stakeholders
- Ensure correct and timely invoicing of project costs
- Contact clients and partners for project approaches
- Participate in preparation of pre-qualifications and expressions of interest
- Prepare, process and coordinate technical and financial proposals
- Coordinate, monitor and evaluate activities within the project team
- Quality assurance and control at the GIC office and on site
- Proactive coordination of project progress and milestones
- Control schedules during reporting and editing of reports
- Monitor compliance with invoicing deadlines
- Financial follow-up of projects in coordination with the Controlling department
- Prepare project agenda and new contracts
Voraussetzungen
- Full academic qualification (MSc. or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Process Engineering or similar
- At least 5 years of proven work experience in international development projects related to water
- Fluent language skills in English and/or French and/or Spanish
- Distinct communication and report writing skills
- Ability to work effectively in teams with a hands-on mentality
- Mobility and willingness to work on project assignments abroad
- Ability to work under time pressure
