Einführung
Join the Accelerator Survey and Alignment Team at GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung as an Engineer for high-precision 3D surveying and alignment of accelerator facilities.
Aufgaben
- Development of measurement and adjustment concepts for precise 3D measurement of FAIR's new facilities and components
- Participation in planning, organization, and coordination of high-precision 3D surveying work
- Supervision and instruction of external measurement service providers and cooperation partners
- Surveying support at magnetic test stands and QA measures
- Involvement in the operation of the calibration laboratory, including testing and maintenance of instruments
Voraussetzungen
- Several years of professional experience in industrial surveying
- Very good knowledge of modern high-precision 3D surveying instruments and methods
- Fundamental knowledge in adjustment calculation
- Previous experience in accelerator surveying is a plus
- Experience in programming languages like Python, C++, or others is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a small team
- Careful, structured, and solution-oriented work style
- Organizational talent and excellent communication skills
- Very good German and good English language skills
