Einführung
Join GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel as a Doctoral researcher in Computer Science and Marine Data Science, focusing on smart underwater monitoring systems and cloud-based digital twins.
Aufgaben
- Develop machine learning models and communication protocols for distributed computing systems
- Conduct research on resource-efficient embedded machine learning in underwater monitoring
- Collaborate with the Institute of Computer Science at Kiel University
- Participate in coastal and sea-going expeditions
- Engage in the education of doctoral researchers through joint courses and summer schools
Voraussetzungen
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on Networked, Distributed and/or Embedded Systems
- Knowledge in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Experience in software development in C/C++, Python, or related programming languages
- Interest or experience in (marine) geoscience and electronic engineering (desired)
- Willingness to participate in coastal and sea-going expeditions (desired)
