Einführung
Join GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung as an Automation Engineer and contribute to world-class science in an international research environment focused on particle accelerators.
Aufgaben
- Development, commissioning and maintenance of automated control systems for vacuum and cryogenic systems, as well as personal protection systems
- Programming and optimisation of Siemens PLC systems (TIA Portal, possibly Simatic S7) for precise process control
- Development of user-friendly interfaces for controlling and monitoring machines, including applications for the SCADA system WinCC OA
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for the realisation of research projects
- Business trips for technical clarifications and approvals on the basis of a low frequency and duration
- Elaboration of technical specifications and documentation
- Supporting the service and maintenance personnel in operation
Voraussetzungen
- Graduated engineer (MSc/Diploma) with focus on automation with a specialisation on electrical and automation engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent qualification
- Good understanding of complex technical systems and their control
- Profound knowledge of control and automation technology, in particular the programming of PLC systems
- Good knowledge of the programming tool TIA Portal and especially the programming languages SCL and Graph
- Experience in programming with other programming languages, in particular Python, C#, C/C++
- Experience in the implementation of projects for control systems is considered an advantage
- Experience in the field of cryogenic and vacuum systems as well as functional safety is considered an advantage
- Experience with SCADA systems such as WinCC OA is beneficial
- Experience with LINUX especially RHEL or Rocky Linux is beneficial
- Good general understanding of science and physics
- Good knowledge of the German and English language, both written and spoken
