Einführung
The Associate Durable Solutions Officer position at UNHCR involves serving as a focal point for solutions related issues in a region, contributing to finding durable solutions for Persons of Concern (PoCs), and engaging with various partners to promote voluntary repatriation, local integration, and resettlement. The role requires good knowledge of refugee issues, human rights doctrine, and the ability to analyze statistics and trends to draft reports. Additionally, the incumbent will participate in consultative processes, interview PoCs to assess their needs, and engage with national and local interlocutors on durable solutions issues.
Aufgaben
- Implement activities in accordance with the comprehensive solutions strategy
- Participate in consultative processes within UNHCR and with external partners
- Meet PoC, assess their durable solutions needs, and identify appropriate solutions
- Monitor the implementation of the durable solutions strategy and provide advice for improvements
- Analyse statistics, trends, and draft reports
- Engage national and local interlocutors on durable solutions issues
Voraussetzungen
- 3 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree or 2 years relevant experience with Graduate degree or 1 year relevant experience with Doctorate degree
- Field(s) of Education: Political Science, Social Science, Law/International Law, Economics, International Relations, or other relevant field
- Good knowledge of refugee issues and Human Rights doctrine
- Very good reporting and writing ability
