Einführung
The Policy and Evaluation Specialist position at the Green Climate Fund involves developing and updating evaluation policies, providing legal advice, and participating in independent evaluations. The role requires managing relationships with stakeholders, drafting policy documents, and contributing to institutional evaluations. The ideal candidate should have a legal background, experience in evaluation-related functions, and expertise in policy and legal matters.
Aufgaben
- Develop and update evaluation policy of the organization
- Operationalize evaluation policy across the organization and partners
- Provide legal advice and administrative expertise to the evaluation unit
- Participate in independent evaluations as a key member
- Draft, review, negotiate, and process legal/policy documents with evaluation stakeholders
- Provide technical support on evaluation standards and board affairs
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and partners
- Travel as a representative of the evaluation unit
Voraussetzungen
- Juris Doctor, LLB, or equivalent law degree
- At least 7 years of relevant experience with 4 years at an international financial institution or development institution
- Experience in evaluation-related policy affairs in climate change or finance field
- Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating policy and legal documents
- Ability to troubleshoot operational, administrative, and legal matters with tight deadlines
- Experience providing subject matter advice to senior executives
- Experience in corporate and portfolio/thematic level evaluations
- Knowledge of GCF policies and processes
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English
