    Einführung

    The Asia Pacific Policy Analyst/Counsel role at Access Now involves advocating for and shaping policies that respect and extend human rights in the digital age, with a focus on Southeast Asia. The position requires tracking legislation, conducting research, producing policy briefs, engaging with stakeholders, and collaborating on advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in policy and advocacy in Southeast Asia, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to bridge policy and technology.

    Aufgaben

    • Follow Southeast Asia developments on areas of importance to human rights in the digital age
    • Track and engage on relevant legislation and administrative proceedings
    • Conduct in-depth research and legal, policy, and legislative analysis
    • Produce high-quality policy briefs, blog posts, public comments, reports, and other pertinent documents
    • Support and identify collaboration opportunities with partners, policymakers, and stakeholders in the region
    • Coordinate and represent the organization in multi-stakeholder coalitions and public events
    • Provide strategic advice on regional issues and advocacy strategy
    • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative advocacy approaches and campaigns
    • Research fundraising and partnership opportunities
    • Map strategic growth and opportunities for deepening work in support of communities at risk
    • Coordinate advocacy plans and priorities with colleagues
    • Assist in global implementation of annual summit series
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Voraussetzungen

    • 3-5 years of experience in Southeast Asia policy and lawmaking, public policy, advocacy, campaigning, or similar function
    • Solid understanding of Southeast Asia regional and national regulatory and legislative institutions
    • Ability to bridge the gap between policy and technology
    • Exceptional writing and communication skills
    • Experience engaging and supporting diverse communities
    • Global perspective and ability to work in a diverse team
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
    • Experience in civil society, public sector, or regulatory environment
    • Fluency in English, knowledge of an additional relevant language for Southeast Asia preferred
    • Bachelor or master degree equivalent in law, political science, international relations, or public policy preferred
