Einführung
International IDEA is seeking a Programme Officer for their programme in Gabon, focused on supporting a participatory, inclusive, and human rights-based return to a sustainable constitutional order and institutional reform processes to prevent electoral violence. The Programme Officer will contribute to the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the programme, as well as communication and visibility efforts. The role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in democracy and governance, particularly in Gabon and Africa, with fluency in French and English.
Aufgaben
- Contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of political parties and CSOs related activities for the programme
- Support the facilitation of capacity building sessions for civil society and stakeholders
- Establish multi-stakeholder dialogue platforms through workshops and sessions
- Develop knowledge products related to Gabon's transition
- Assess and analyze political developments in Gabon
- Coordinate political party and CSOs activities between International IDEA and partners
- Maintain a network of key actors and stakeholders in Gabon
- Ensure activities are implemented according to the workplan
- Contribute to monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of the programme
- Maintain communication with the donor delegation and provide progress reports
- Implement the communications and visibility plan
- Contribute to outcome harvesting and storytelling
Voraussetzungen
- University degree in political science, international law, international development, peace and development studies or related field
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in democracy and governance in Gabon and/or Africa
- Experience in constitution-building, peacebuilding, or democratic transition processes
- Fluency in written and oral French and English
