Einführung
Stadler Rail Service UK Limited is looking to hire a Train Presentation Support Manager to join their Production team at the Gosforth Depot. The role involves leadership and management, customer liaison, budgetary and contract understanding, H&S and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production personnel, visitors, and presentation personnel, ensuring rostering covers contract requirements, planning and allocating work, supporting personnel development, maximizing train presentation standards, auditing quality standards, attending performance meetings, and ensuring operational continuity. Essential qualifications include experience in a rail and depot environment, leadership and management certification, proven team leadership experience, customer-driven attitude, ability to work in a demanding environment, and understanding of health and safety legislation. Desirable qualifications include extensive operational transport experience, knowledge of production techniques, root cause investigations, and risk management. The role offers a salary of £49,920 per annum plus shift allowance, defined contribution pension scheme, enhanced maternity and paternity policies, cycle to work scheme, and company-paid membership of a cashback health plan with Healthshield.
Aufgaben
- On-site support with the management of production personnel
- On-site support with the management of all visitors to the site
- On-site support with the management of presentation personnel
- Ensure rostering covers the requirements of the contract
- Planning and allocation of work to personnel
- Support personnel development and competence
- Maximize train presentation standards
- Audit and monitor quality standards
- Attend performance meetings
- Support business in ensuring trains are provided as required
- Potential involvement in Management On Call roster
Voraussetzungen
- Qualification or equivalent experience in Rail, Depot, and Managerial environment
- Formal education at least to NVQ Level 5 or equivalent
- ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management
- Proven experience in leading teams and engaging with stakeholders
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and make decisions to tight deadlines
- Customer-driven attitude focused on quality
- Flexible and willing to support colleagues
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of contracts, reports, and investigations
- Passion for continual improvement and operational excellence
- Good ICT skills including Microsoft packages
- Statutory first aid at work person, fire marshal/fire warden
- Competency in PTS, DP, NP, and Rolling Stock maintenance standards
- Full UK Driving License
- Medically fit and subject to drugs and alcohol testing
- Willingness to work at temporary locations
