Einführung
Vattenfall, a leading European energy company, is seeking a Database Administrator/Data Engineer to join their Database Operations department in Katowice or Gliwice, Poland. The role involves delivering database services based on SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGreSQL, along with associated services like HA, DW, replication, and security features. The ideal candidate should have experience in database operations, technical infrastructure, ITIL, and project management. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Swedish, German, or Dutch is a plus.
Aufgaben
- Deliver database services in accordance with agreed service levels
- Project and design work for new and existing database solutions
- Installations, upgrades, documentation, testing, commissioning, and configurations
- 2nd-line support and maintenance
- Participate in problem and root cause analysis
- Work with monitoring and performance analysis
- Investigative work internally and externally
- Work in Agile and DevOps form
Voraussetzungen
- Several years of experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and PostGreSQL
- Knowledge of security, HA, and monitoring/data analysis
- Broad knowledge of technical infrastructure and security
- Basic knowledge of OS administration
- Experience with ITIL
- Experience in incident, change, problem, and configuration management
- Fluency in English, Swedish, German, or Dutch
