Lilium is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer for Fly-by-wire Flight Control Systems in Munich. The role involves providing independent compliance verification for the development and certification of a new type of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Flight Control Systems, hold a Compliance Verification Engineer authorization within an EASA Design Organisation, and possess strong influencing skills to ensure compliance with airworthiness and safety requirements. Aufgaben
- Provide Independent Compliance Verification as a certification subject matter expert
- Engage in technical discussions with the Authority
- Assist in the definition and maturing of the Type Certification Basis
- Provide review and approval as Compliance Verification Engineer for certification program documentation
- Work in collaboration with external aviation standard associations
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of applicable airworthiness requirements
- Support the development and maintenance of the Design Organisation Handbook procedures
- Witness development and certification testing
- Co-ordinate project certification activities
- Interface with company staff and external suppliers/sub-contractors to support certification activities
Voraussetzungen
- Demonstrable knowledge of the type-certification process within Aerospace
- Engineering Degree desirable
- Literate in Office software and documentation control systems
- Previous experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer within the same field
- 10 Years’ experience with EASA Part-21 or similar regulations
- In depth knowledge of EASA and FAA airworthiness and environmental requirements
- Knowledge and experience with the development of complex aircraft and systems
- Prepared to work hours to suit certification projects and activities
- Ability to support occasional national and international travel at short notice
- Confident in delivering technical information in presentations
- Previous experience of working with rulemaking associations
