Einführung
Lilium is seeking a Senior Airworthiness Engineer for Avionics Systems in Munich. The role involves providing independent verification for the development and type certification of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Avionic Systems, experience in EASA regulations, and knowledge of airworthiness requirements. This position requires collaboration with engineering and certification teams, engagement with aviation authorities, and participation in certification activities. Aufgaben
- Provide Independent Compliance Verification within various areas of Avionic Systems
- Engage in technical discussions with the Authority
- Assist in the definition and maturing of the Type Certification Basis
- Provide review and approval as Compliance Verification Engineer for certification program documentation
- Work in collaboration with external aviation standard associations
- Assist in the analysis and interpretation of applicable airworthiness requirements
- Support the development and maintenance of the Design Organisation Handbook procedures
- Witness development and certification testing
- Co-ordinate project certification activities
- Interface with company staff and external suppliers/sub-contractors
- Deliver technical information in presentations
Voraussetzungen
- Engineering degree or substantial experience within the industry
- Experience as an EASA Compliance Verification Engineer
- 7 years' experience with EASA Part-21 or similar regulations
- In-depth knowledge of EASA and FAA airworthiness requirements
- Knowledge of type-certification process within Aerospace industry
- Familiarity with DO178B/C and DO254
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel at short notice
- Confident in delivering technical information in presentations
- Experience working with rulemaking associations
