Einführung
The Senior Registration Assistant position in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia involves supporting all activities related to registration, providing counselling to asylum seekers and refugees, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with protection staff and partners. The role also includes drafting reports, providing statistics, and acting as an interpreter when needed. The position requires fluency in English and Malay languages and is offered under Temporary Appointment until December 2024.
Aufgaben
- Assist in the implementation of registration strategies and methodologies for POC.
- Conduct registration interviews in accordance with standards and guidance.
- Provide counselling and respond to queries from asylum seekers and refugees regarding registration procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and data related to registration cases.
- Identify persons with specific needs and ensure timely referral to protection follow-up.
- Collaborate with protection staff and partners in assistance and programming delivery.
- Draft correspondence and reports related to registration activities.
- Provide statistics and draft reports related to registration data.
- Act as interpreter and translator when needed.
- Refer cases to other units and partners as necessary.
- Support risk identification and management.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Voraussetzungen
- 2 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or 1 year relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Good computer skills, particularly in data management.
- Training in basic principles of international protection is desirable.
- Experience in working with UNHCR proGres software is desirable.
