    Einführung

    The Senior Human Resources Assistant position at UNHCR in Islamabad, Pakistan involves assisting in personnel administration, recruitment, appointment, performance management, and welfare issues of staff. The role requires knowledge of UNHCR administrative procedures, support services in an international organization, and IT systems like PeopleSoft/MSRP. The position also includes responsibilities related to staff contracts, entitlements, benefits, medical insurance, and administrative support for international staff. The job is temporary for a duration of 6 months with no expectation of extension.

    Aufgaben

    • Assist in the recruitment, assignment, reassignment, and separation of local service staff
    • Process local staff members' contracts, entitlements, and benefits
    • Update personnel related information in HR module
    • Advise staff members on their rights, obligations, benefits, and entitlements
    • Assist newly-arrived international staff with administrative formalities
    • Administer medical insurance plan for locally recruited staff
    • Maintain personnel records including attendance, overtime, and leave records
    • Initiate calculations for payments related to personnel issues
    • Initiate routine correspondence on HR matters
    • Support risk identification and management
    • Perform other related duties as required

    Voraussetzungen

    • 2 years relevant experience with High School Diploma or 1 year relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree
    • Good knowledge of UNHCR administrative procedures and processes
    • IT-Computer Literacy
    • Resource planning
    • Financial Management (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday)
    • PeopleSoft Human Capital Management
    • Knowledge of English and UN working language of the duty station
    • Previous experience working with the United Nations is highly desirable
    • Proven hands-on experience in managing medical insurance plans for staff
    • Proficiency in HR ERP systems, familiarity with Workday is an asset
    • Strong background in talent acquisition
    • Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines
    • Excellent drafting and speaking abilities
