Einführung
Patagonia, an outdoor apparel company founded in 1973, is seeking a General Ledger Lead to support the Accounting Team in recording financial data accurately and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. The role involves overseeing Ecommerce Accounting operations, EMEA Treasury Accounting, process improvements, internal and external audit processes, and more. The ideal candidate should have a degree in accounting or related discipline, be a (part) qualified accountant with at least 5 years of experience, possess strong supervisory skills, and be tech-savvy with advanced Excel proficiency.
Aufgaben
- Support the Accounting Team with recording financial data into relevant systems
- Ensure General Ledger accuracy and compliance for tax and statutory purposes
- Lead cross-departmental and internal accounting projects
- Oversee Ecommerce Accounting operations and reconciliations
- Manage EMEA Treasury Accounting and Cash Flow Forecasting
- Coordinate with global treasurer and finance manager
- Lead Month-End and Year-End accounting close activities
- Manage internal and external audit process
- Adhere to accounting principles and internal procedures
- Perform ad hoc administrative duties as required
Voraussetzungen
- Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Senior Accountant
- Strong supervisory skills and ability to mentor junior colleagues
- Advanced Excel proficiency and ability to reconcile large data sets
- Experience with ERP Systems and process automation
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of PowerBi, TM1, Blackline (a plus)
- Proven ability to lead process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English, other languages a plus
