Einführung
The Management Accountant role at Octopus Energy Services in London, UK is a fixed-term contract for 3 months. The role involves coordinating and preparing monthly management accounts, reporting on variances, providing commercial insight, and working closely with the business to improve its financial position. The company is on a mission to drive the global renewable energy revolution and is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join their Finance team.
Aufgaben
- Co-ordination and preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reporting on variances and providing commercial insight
- Reviewing VAT returns, loan schedules, and prepayments
- Analyzing monthly results for senior management
- Managing creditor and debtor ledgers
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Reviewing and improving finance processes
- Assisting with day-to-day finance management
- Assisting with system implementation projects
Voraussetzungen
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
- Knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS accounting standards
- Strong IT skills including advanced Excel skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders and external parties confidently
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize
- Numerate with high focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working in Netsuite preferable
