Einführung
The Assistant Shelter Officer role involves contributing to comprehensive sectoral needs assessments, overseeing construction and infrastructure projects, coordinating with various sectors and stakeholders, and ensuring shelter responses align with global policies and guidelines. Aufgaben
- Assist in developing and periodically updating a suitable shelter approach within the AoR
- Participate in comprehensive sectoral needs assessments
- Contribute to shelter strategies and periodically review them
- Oversee all construction and infrastructure projects within the AoR
- Review, identify and monitor shelter programmes within the AoR
- Work closely with other relevant sectors for coordinated implementation
- Monitor and follow up the design and construction of infrastructure
- Support implementing partners on technical shelter issues
- Disseminate shelter standards and guidelines among partners
- Participate in coordination and management of shelter interventions
Voraussetzungen
- Strong academic qualification in civil engineering, architecture, or related discipline
- Experience in shelter planning, design, and construction monitoring
- Knowledge of shelter standards and best practices
- Ability to coordinate with various stakeholders
- Familiarity with global and national shelter policies and guidelines
