Einführung
The Education Assistant will support the roll-out of Refugee Education 2030, the Refugee Education Strategy, in line with the Global Compact on Refugees (GCR). They will assist in providing inclusive and equitable quality education for refugee and host community children and youth, contributing to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals. The role involves collaborating with education partners, monitoring education programs, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting inter-sectoral linkages to enhance refugee education.
Aufgaben
- Assist in monitoring and supporting all existing formal and informal education programs
- Regularly collect, provide update and share information related to education
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of core education data sets
- Provide regular reports on educational activities, achievements, and challenges
- Perform specific administrative operational/control tasks for project/programme activities
- Undertake protection individual counselling for refugees
- Represent UNHCR in monitoring of education projects
- Foster inter-sectoral linkages and coordination with various services
- Support the training of staff on refugee education priorities
- Ensure active exchange of information and best practices
- Prepare and support the drafting of education input in key documents and reports
- Support the identification and management of risks
- Perform other related duties as required
Voraussetzungen
- 1 year relevant experience with High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated work experience in education programs
- Field experience in education program implementation and coordination in humanitarian and/or development contexts
- Experience working with Governments, Ministry of Education, and other line Ministries
- Strong interpersonal skills in collaboration and coordination
