Einführung
The Managing Director, Policy Strategy and Delivery at EBRD is responsible for the Bank's political and economic country analysis, coordination of country strategies, policy engagement, and capacity building in various areas such as sector reforms, governance, gender inclusion, and digitalization. The role involves leading a team to maximize the Bank's impact through financing and policy engagement. The MD also represents EBRD in external forums and promotes the organization's profile. The position requires a Ph.D. or MSc. in Economics or a relevant field, extensive professional experience in economics and policy, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Aufgaben
- Lead delivery of economic and political assessments for all Countries of Operations
- Coordinate all Country Strategies and prioritize investment and policy engagement
- Design and deliver policy engagements, capacity building, and advisory projects to maximize transition impact
- Develop and deliver strategies for gender and economic inclusion, economic governance, capital markets, financial markets, and digitalization
- Enhance integration of Policy Strategy and Delivery within Client Services Group for maximum impact
- Maintain collaborative relationships at senior levels in countries of operations and international institutions
- Represent EBRD in external business and economics forums
- Champion and model the Bank's Behavioral Competencies and Corporate Behaviors
Voraussetzungen
- Ph.D. or MSc. in Economics or relevant field
- Extensive professional experience in economics, policy, and governance
- Strong track record in policy engagement in emerging markets
- Good understanding of private sector-focused development finance in emerging markets
- Experience in project design, appraisal, and communication to non-economist decision makers
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
- Experience in change management and transformation activities
- Client relationship management skills
- Negotiation skills in complex environments
- Collaboration skills in unique business challenges
- Strong communication skills in written and verbal form
- Knowledge of languages in the transition region is desirable
