Einführung
The Procurement Portfolio Manager role at Octopus Energy Services in Hinckley, UK, involves leading commercial and supply chain development activities for residential low carbon technologies. The role focuses on driving the global renewable energy revolution by connecting suppliers, customers, and colleagues to the supply chain and bringing low carbon technology to life.
Aufgaben
- Own the procurement portfolio for residential low carbon technologies such as Heat Pumps, EV Charge Points, Solar PV, or Battery Storage
- Build and lead optimization pipeline for the procurement portfolio to deliver ongoing value across pricing, quality, availability, new product introduction, tail spend optimization, contract compliance, and proactive risk management
- Work closely with other areas of the business to drive creative commercial solutions, mitigate risks, and bring new products to market
- Develop scalable solutions to make the in-house supply chain a competitive advantage for customers to decarbonize their homes faster and cheaper
Voraussetzungen
- Experience in leading commercial and supply chain development activities in a supplier-facing role, preferably in the residential low carbon tech sector
- Ability to lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting efforts through effective collaboration with suppliers and colleagues
- Commercially sharp with an understanding of key supplier and market drivers, and the ability to make connections across different areas
- Entrepreneurial drive with a growth and customer-first mindset
- Resilience and ability to work in a start-up culture at a fast pace
- Good at managing priorities and comfortable working in an ever-changing environment
- Experience in low-cost country sourcing is a plus
- Flexibility to travel 2-3 days a week with occasional international travel
