Einführung
The European Climate Foundation (ECF) in Belgium is looking for a Grants Officer to support their grant management team in fostering the development of a net-zero emission society at national, European, and global levels. The Grants Officer will be responsible for carrying out due diligence reviews, monitoring grant requests, supporting grantee partners, and ensuring compliance with internal processes. The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of administrative and financial experience, a genuine interest in ECF's mission, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office and Excel. This is a full-time position as maternity cover starting in September 2024 in Brussels, Belgium.
Aufgaben
- Support programmes with daily grant making activities
- Carry out due diligence reviews on new and existing grantees
- Generate and monitor grant requests in FLUXX system
- Monitor budget and grant contracting stage
- Support teams with regranting budget planning
- Provide support to Grantee partners throughout grant life cycle
- Handle grant payments in close relation with Finance team
- Support with administrative and financial review of grant reporting
- Monitor grant closing activities
- Support teams with core systems and tools
- Perform other related administrative tasks related to grant management process
Voraussetzungen
- 3-4 years of experience in an administrative and financial role
- Genuine interest in the organization's mission and values
- Ability to deliver high-quality output within ambitious timeframes
- Customer-oriented approach
- Excellent collaborative skills and ability to work autonomously
- Strong communication skills in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office and excellent Excel skills
- Comfortable working with new software
- Experience in budget oversight and planning
- Friendly and open personality
