Einführung
The job at the Institute for Advanced Simulation - Materials Data Science and Informatics (IAS-9) involves working on implementing and improving data pipelines, data integration, curation, and analysis within the Helmholtz Knowledge Graph. The role requires expertise in data science, metadata handling, and programming skills in Python. Aufgaben
- Implementing and improving data pipelines for metadata integration
- Data integration, curation, mapping, cleaning, and improvement
- Working on existing python libraries for data science and machine learning tasks
- Analyzing graph data and tracking provenance
- Supporting strategic development and coordination around the knowledge graph
- Developing new tools and services around the knowledge graph
- Supporting dissemination of tools and concepts within workshops and training activities
Voraussetzungen
- Master's degree or equivalent in data science, information engineering, computer science, or similar
- Practical experience with metadata handling, data pipelines, data structures, and formats like JSON, JSON-LD, JSON Schema, RDF
- Research and practical experience in data science, analytics, data mining, machine learning
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Knowledge of other programming languages like Java, Julia, R, C/C++, NextJS
- Experience in collaborative and open source software development
- Good communication skills in English
