Einführung
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is offering a full-time internship for an Architecture Intern in Budapest, Hungary. The intern will support the Global Access Project to upgrade UNHCR offices to comply with basic accessibility standards. This role involves conducting assessments, developing plans, coordinating improvements, ensuring compliance, and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Architecture or related fields, familiarity with accessibility standards, proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD, and strong organizational skills.
Aufgaben
- Conduct remote assessments of the physical accessibility of office locations
- Develop plans for addressing identified deficiencies in office accessibility
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of physical improvements
- Prepare detailed reports on progress of improvements
- Ensure modifications adhere to accessibility standards
Voraussetzungen
- Recent graduate or current student in relevant field
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies
- Degree or studies in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related fields
- Excellent English skills
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and AutoCAD or similar software
