    Einführung

    The Assistant Resettlement and Complementary Pathways Officer position involves assisting in resettlement and complementary pathways activities in a specific Area of Responsibility (AOR) under the supervision of UNHCR. The role includes assessing cases for resettlement, conducting interviews, monitoring procedural compliance, and supporting the implementation of policies and guidelines related to resettlement and complementary pathways. The officer also collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of resettlement services and adherence to protection standards. Additionally, the position involves providing counseling, promoting access to complementary pathways, and contributing to training activities for staff and partners.

    Aufgaben

    • Stay abreast of political, legal, social, and economic developments impacting the protection environment
    • Assist in implementing Standard Operating Procedures for promoting resettlement and access to complementary pathways
    • Assist in developing country resettlement and complementary pathways strategy
    • Promote and monitor implementation of global resettlement and complementary pathways policies
    • Guide and capacitate country operations in preparing quality resettlement submissions
    • Monitor resettlement activities and progress against targets
    • Identify, interview, assess, and process individuals for resettlement or complementary pathways
    • Apply Age, Gender, and Diversity perspective in all processes
    • Mitigate fraud related to resettlement or complementary pathways
    • Maintain contact with resettlement countries and partners for effective delivery
    • Participate in country-level discussions with partners
    • Ensure persons of concern receive accurate information on resettlement policies and procedures
    • Submit accurate resettlement statistics and reports to management
    • Recommend training activities for UNHCR staff and partners
    • Communicate with communities to ensure awareness of resettlement procedures
    • Participate in country-level discussions with partners

    Voraussetzungen

    • 1 year relevant experience with Undergraduate degree in International Law, International Relations, Political Science, Social Sciences, or related field
    • Knowledge of UNHCR policies and guidelines on resettlement
    • Ability to conduct interviews and assessments
    • Strong communication and coordination skills
    • Fluency in English
    • Ability to travel for field missions
    • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS policies and guidelines
