Einführung
Malteser International is seeking a Senior Finance Officer to support and guide partner organizations in Bangladesh. The role involves ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations, conducting monitoring visits, and providing technical guidance. The ideal candidate should have an academic degree in accounting or finance, 10 years of practical experience in financial management, and experience working collaboratively with partner organizations. Fluency in English and Bangla is required, as well as the ability to travel frequently. The position is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with travel to other locations. The contract duration is until December 2024, with the possibility of extension.
Aufgaben
- Provide technical and managerial guidance and support to partner organizations
- Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations
- Conduct regular monitoring visits for supporting partners and reviewing project implementation
- Support and guide partner organizations in financial project implementation
- Review partner finance reports, accounting system, and supporting documentation
- Provide support to partner finance staff
Voraussetzungen
- Academic degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
- 10 years practical experience in financial management, monitoring, administration, logistics, and procurement in humanitarian/development projects
- Experience working collaboratively with partner organizations
- Experience with computer applications and MS Office packages
- Fluency in English and Bangla (written and spoken)
- Physical and mental strength for frequent traveling
- Experience with BMZ-PT funded projects is a plus
